A free, searchable database of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act has been released by askSam Systems. Signed in the wake of the Enron and Worldcom scandals, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act reformed public accounting practices and other corporate governance processes and shored up the capital markets. The text from the act has been imported into a searchable, hypertext-linked askSam database. The individual sections of the legislation are divided into separate documents in the database, which allows users to locate sections pertaining to specific topics. The database also contains a pre-defined report that offers an overview of all sections containing any search term entered. In addition to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, askSam has also prepared free searchable versions of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act, the Patriot Act, 9-11 Commission Report, "Agenda for American" by President Bush, "Our Plan for America" by Senators Kerry and Edwards, Speeches from the 2004 Political Conventions, and the Transcripts from the 2004 Presidential Debates.
