DocuLex has announced the release of DocuLex Discovery Cracker 4.7, an electronic discovery software program with embedded files processing capability. The program is designed specifically for litigation support use by law firms, corporate counsel, service bureaus, and CPA firms creating litigation databases with associated images, full-text files, and metadata from email systems and electronic files (including Microsoft Office, Lotus, WordPerfect, etc.). Discovery Cracker 4.7 features include: distributed processing allowing for multiple-unit processing of electronic documents; email de-duplication bypassing redundant files; expanded SQL server support for faster processing, including an import/export feature for client review and selective image rendering; Office 2003 compatibility and ability to process formatted .PST; keyword searching to process only the files matching keyword criteria; updated quality control module; summary report creation chronicling files sorted by extensions (.doc, .xls, etc), sizes and number of files and a total processed file count (summary report may be saved and printed as needed); intelligent color rendering of color TIF images; multi-level image file creation capability; updated Microsoft Excel toolkit; new Microsoft Access extraction and printing; and export ability to DocuLex, Summation, Concordance, and other legal content management systems.
