Inxight Broadens Long-Term Alliance with SAP AG
Inxight Software, Inc., a provider of enterprise software solutions for information discovery, has enhanced its long-standing alliance with SAP AG through the expansion of a software licensing agreement between the two companies. Under the terms of the agreement, Inxight is adding support for four new languages to its LinguistX Platform, expanding to 30 the number of languages that SAP licenses to power multi-lingual search capabilities within its SAP Enterprise Portal component. SAP Enterprise Portal is designed to unify information and applications to give users a single view that spans the enterprise. It provides a complete portal infrastructure, with knowledge-management and collaboration functionality, and allows users to conduct information searches in multiple languages.

Inxight's LinguistX Platform provides text analysis capabilities that are intended to enable software developers to build multi-language information retrieval and analysis features into their products, while reducing time-to-market and avoiding unnecessary development costs. Inxight LinguistX is designed to be able to understand the context of textual information in 27 languages. The 27 languages currently supported by Inxight LinguistX Platform are: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Farsi, French, Finnish, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Romanian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish. New languages in development, based on Inxight's expanded contract with SAP include Catalan, Croatian, Slovak, and Slovenian.
