Endeavor Information Systems has announced the availability of the integration of Eduserv Athens, a single sign-on access and identity management system, and the ENCompass system for managing, searching and linking collections. Ensuring single sign-on access to multiple resources, Athens' availability through ENCompass provides end users with institutional authorization for federated searching of resources and access to the citations or full-text of those resources. By implementing single sign-on functionality within ENCompass federated search screens, libraries can now provide end users with authorized access in the early steps of research. An added-cost functionality, the ENCompass integration with Athens is available now with ENCompass release 3.5.
