Fast Search & Transfer (FAST), a developer of enterprise search and real-time alerting technologies, and Tellus Software AS, a developer of custom enterprise search applications, have announced a value-added reseller (VAR) agreement, making Tellus Software a reseller of FAST's search solutions. With this agreement, FAST's Enterprise Search Platform (FAST ESP) technology will be marketed and resold by Tellus Software as a custom enterprise search application integrated with oil, gas, energy, and shipping specific software solutions. FAST ESP is designed to offer customers and partners, such as Tellus Software, a combination of real-time search technology, business search management tools, and information analysis capabilities. Tellus Software can now extend these capabilities and provide tailored solutions that address the needs of the European oil and energy industries. To date, Tellus Software has developed a solution for indexing and searching seismic data stored in SEG-Y format based on the FAST Enterprise Search Platform (FAST ESP). This solution will be coupled with additional connectors for industry specific data formats and standards, which are slated for release in the upcoming months.
