Inxight Software, Inc., a provider of software solutions for using unstructured data, has announced a new alliance with enterprise Web technology provider Plumtree Software. Through the agreement, Plumtree has licensed Inxight's language processing technology, Inxight LinguistX Platform, to expand the multilingual search capabilities in Plumtree Search Server. Plumtree Search Server queries and indexes content throughout the Enterprise Web, including project documents stored by Plumtree Collaboration Server, Web pages managed by Plumtree Content Server, and content indexed from file systems, Web sites and document databases into the portal's document directory. With the added multilingual functionality from Inxight, Plumtree Search Server will provide more extensive search returns for international customers. Plumtree Search Server indexes content in the portal's document directory and integrates with the other technologies of the enterprise Web. Inxight's LinguistX Platform offers a suite of multilingual language processing services, which are critical to search and text mining applications. Languages supported by Inxight LinguistX Platform include: Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, Finnish, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Romanian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish. Hebrew, Thai, and other languages are currently in development.
