Le Monde, a Paris daily and news Web site in France, and La Presse, a Canadian French-language newspaper, have partnered with NewsStand, Inc. to offer subscribers digital versions of their print editions. NewsStand's digital publishing and delivery technology are designed to expand circulation into international markets and allow publications to offer new options to readers who do not have access to the printed editions. Other features of the NewsStand format include keyword search, direct jumps to desired sections, quick scan of two-page spreads, and zoom-in for articles of interest. Other publications that have already selected NewsStand as their digital delivery service include The New York Times, Barron's, International Herald Tribune, Harvard Business Review, The China Daily, The Australian, and The Globe & Mail. Le Monde will offer single copy purchases for 1.20 Euro. Global subscriptions are priced at: 4 weeks for 25.00 Euro; 3 months for 65.00 Euro; 6 months for 105.00 Euro; and 1 year for 190.00 Euro. La Presse will offer paid digital subscriptions and single copy purchases. Subscription options are: Mon-Fri, Mon-Sun, weekend only, or Saturday only; Internet users can save up to 30% off the newsstand price.
