Convera has announced that Superior Information Services, LLC, an online public record firm, has integrated Convera's RetrievalWare into its newly launched Bankruptcy Clearinghouse offering. The new online service, offers collection agencies and other debt collectors instant access to the records of every bankruptcy court in the United States. Convera's RetrievalWare enables Bankruptcy Clearinghouse customers to search through a vast amount of bankruptcy information in order to make more informed choices regarding debt collection. Bankruptcy Clearinghouse's database currently holds more than 15 million bankruptcy records dating as far back as 1982. With search functionality provided by RetrievalWare, customers can search across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously, making searching through bankruptcy records more efficient. Searches can be conducted using a person's name, address, or social security number. Future releases of Bankruptcy Clearinghouse will use XML to allow batch searches, a service that will be targeted to mortgage companies and other lending institutions. Users can take advantage of the entire site for $50 per month or on a transactional basis for only $1 per search.
