Singingfish to Power Audio and Video Search in the Windows Media Player
Posted Jan 14, 2003 Print Version     Page 1of 1

Singingfish, Inc., a Thomson service and audio and video search engine, has been chosen to provide search technology devoted exclusively to audio and video files throughout Windows Media-based digital media delivery offerings including WindowsMedia.com, and Windows Media Player 9 Series as well as down-level versions of the Windows Media Player. Recognizing that consumers' demand for digital media content is not limited to downloading music, Windows Media selected Singingfish's index of audio and video content--enabling end-users to search for streaming digital content in categories such as sports, television, movies, news, and music. These new audio and video search capabilities will be found in the Info Center view and Media Guide of Windows Media Player 9 Series in addition to providing audio/video search functionality on WindowsMedia.com. Windows Media Player 9 Series featuring the Singingfish audio/video enhanced search service is available now for users to download and try.
