Stellent, Inc., a provider of content management solutions, has announced its Lotus Notes initiative, which is aimed at unlocking and leveraging the information that is stored in Lotus Notes repositories. The initiative includes the release of the new Stellent Lotus Notes Integrator that offers customers a migration or integration path between Lotus Notes and Stellent Content Management. The Stellent Lotus Notes Integrator is designed to provide companies with a simple solution for replicating or migrating Lotus Notes database content into the Stellent Content Management environment. It automatically converts the proprietary Lotus Notes document format into standard formats such as RTF, HTML, and XML. After content is converted and transferred to the Stellent system, users have access to Stellent's content management functionalities, such as library services, categorization, workflow, content conversion, Web publishing, content collaboration, content distribution, and enterprise search. Stellent Lotus Notes Integrator can be used in situations where Stellent Content Management coexists with Lotus Notes or where companies are replacing Notes. In addition to the Stellent Lotus Notes Integrator product, Stellent is offering a new consulting services package for customers who prefer to outsource their Notes migration; a white paper that outlines the factors driving Lotus Notes users to migrate or integrate with alternate products; and an eseminar series to discuss the white paper concepts and demonstrate the new product. Stellent Lotus Notes Integrator is currently shipping and is priced at $50,000.
