Stellent's Content Components group has released a new version of Outside In, software said to help original equipment manufacturers develop more robust search programs and applications critical for finding information in documents and other files as part of electronic discovery, compliance and risk management initiatives.

The new version of Outside In, says Stellent, allows software developers to build applications on the latest 64-bit operating systems and enhances their ability to access and manipulate complex file formats and structures commonly searched during the litigation and forensics process.

The Outside In Technology suite also now includes the Stellent Clean Content SDK, which identifies and cleanses or strips files of sensitive, confidential or proprietary metadata and hidden information that may pose risks to organizations if exposed.
