Gannett has acquired Planet Discover, a provider of local, integrated online search and advertising technology. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Planet Discover provides a platform for local search on Web sites. Integrated search reaches out to sources and brings the results together in a presentation. Terry Millard, president and CEO of Planet Discover and his brother, Todd, Planet Discover's CTO, will remain with the company, which is located in Covington, KY, and Cedar Rapids, IA.
