The two companies report they intend to maintain the Navigo Systems product line and enhance it with analytics capabilities stemming from Mondosoft's BehaviorTracking technology. The acquisition will support Mondosoft's existing product offering with SharePoint focused tools and reinforce the company's existing .NET development assets. Navigo Systems produces Ontolica, a taxonomy toolset that develops a conceptual "spine" to define and classify an organization's relevant information into a knowledge model. The two companies have already successfully integrated their respective technologies in a number of customized SharePoint Portal Server installations providing Boolean, wildcard and WSS cross-site search and other features, which they claim support and improve the effectiveness of the standard SharePoint search functionality. |
