Basis Technology has announced an update of the Rosette Linguistics Platform, version 4.3. Rosette provides a solution for complex linguistic challenges critical for performing functions such as information retrieval, text mining, and any other in-depth analysis of text in a variety of languages.

New features to the Rosette platform, include the cross-platform Unicode library, an automatic language and encoding detector, linguistic analysis and entity extraction modules for Asian, European, and Middle Eastern languages, expansion of Rosette's European language coverage, with the addition of Czech, Hungarian, Polish, and Greek; the integration of Rosette Core Library for Unicode into the Rosette Platform; and support for 64-bit Linux platforms.
